The Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman has concluded a joint cooperation agreement with Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Humanitarian & Charity Establishment, to establish a park and neighborhood Majlis in Al Hamidiya 2 in the Emirate of Ajman.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Ajman Municipality Department by H.E. Abdul Rahman Muhammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, and on behalf of Mohammed Bin Rashid Humanitarian & Charity Establishment by His Excellency Saleh Zaher Al Mazrouei, the General Manager of the Establishment, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides. The agreement included framing aspects of cooperation between the two parties to implement the Majlis and Park project to enhance the role of neighborhood councils in providing a vital model for social practices in the Emirate, and encouraging the community and government agencies to benefit from the community partnership among the different departments to ensure their sustainability and success.
In this context, H.E. Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi affirmed that through the direct directives of its Chairman, H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Department seeks to build bridges of constructive cooperation with all leading institutions and entities in the State, in order to implement qualitative projects that would have a tangible impact on all society members, in line with our strategic goals aimed at wellbeing and happiness of everyone in the Emirate. He also said that parks are the most important natural places frequented by residents throughout the week and, accordingly, the Department worked, in cooperation with its partners, to increase the number of green spaces, and pays great attention to providing neighborhood councils in the regions of the emirate to be a vital place for meeting and holding various events.
For his part, His Excellency Saleh Zaher Al Mazrouei explained that, under the directives of the Organization’s patron, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, that urge to work in the spirit of one team in all fields, including the charitable and humanitarian fields, which are the most important means of serving citizens, the Organization has been actively participating and contributing to supporting projects concerned with the welfare of citizens, and, for this reason, the Organization decided to sign this agreement with the Municipality Department in Ajman. “This initiative comes within the Organization’s action plan to establish community projects for citizens and as part of its efforts to provide the necessary needs of society”, he explained.
Saleh added that communication and cooperation has been present and continuous between the Foundation and the Municipality Department in Ajman over the past years to date, and is one of the institutional values pursued by the Organization in cooperation with government departments and bodies and contributes to the implementation of the development strategies of the Emirati society and the service of the nation. “Accordingly, we supported the implementation of the project to establish the park and Majlis in Al Hamidiya 2 area, based on our social responsibility and our keenness to provide all elements of happiness and well-being for all”, he said.
It is noteworthy to mention that Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Humanitarian & Charity Establishment has over the past years executed many national housing projects at the rate of 60 houses in each emirate of the UAE, including the national housing project in Ajman.
