Information, knowledge and practical methods

The council included a presentation by Rashid Al Balushi, Director of the Public Health Pest Control Department, on the services provided by the MPDA to combat public health pests, identifying pests and breeding sites, explaining their risks and methods of prevention, which include permanent cleaning of places where food is stored, consumed and handled, moving waste containers and disposing of food scraps away from facilities, repairing and maintaining cold and hot water lines to prevent water leakage, cleaning and spraying the sewage network periodically, closing all openings and cracks that occur in the floor, and maintaining general cleanliness.

The attendees appreciated the great efforts made to combat pests in residential complexes, homes and all areas of the Emirate, and to educate and raise awareness among students, employees, workers and community groups about the correct methods, and to identify the types of pests and methods of combating each type to maintain the health and safety of everyone.

The MPDA calls on the public of the Emirate to cooperate in stopping the reproduction and spread of pests resulting from the above-mentioned reasons, as our goal is to enhance social responsibility and achieve the best results.

Councils for Benefit and Communication

It is worth noting that the community councils will continue to provide various sessions to bring together segments and categories of society with leadership and competencies to discuss the most important topics that everyone touches, so that the councils embody a comprehensive beacon and umbrella to provide the opportunity for the Emirate’s community to talk about their aspirations and involve them in every project that the MPDA presents, as human competencies work to serve and make the community happy and work with dedication for it, and they are keen to listen to the needs of the residents, as they are the most capable and worthy of talking about their vision and the details of current and future needs.
