Ajman Municipality and Planning Department announced that construction contracts in the Emirate exceeded 9 billion and 655 million UAE dirhams, according to the Annual Report issued by the Department for the past year 2024, in line with the strategic goal of sustainable development of the construction sector.
In this regard, His Excellency Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, confirmed that the value of contracts witnessed growth compared to the same period in 2023, as they achieved a value of 5 billion and 936 million UAE dirhams. He indicated that Ajman was able to be an ideal model for a civilized and sustainable emirate that provides all the elements of happiness and quality of life for residents, visitors and tourists, and ensures an ideal environment for investment to set up successful projects and ensure their continuity in various fields.
His Excellency explained that the percentage of increase in the value of construction contracts in 2024 recorded 62.66% compared to 2023, appreciating the continuous work, strategic plans and insightful visions that include providing excellent services in the field of building permits, speeding up the completion of services and enhancing the competitiveness of the Emirate in global indicators.
4898 Building Permits
For his part, Eng. Khalifa Abdullah Al Falasi, Director of the Buildings Management at the Department, explained that the Department adopts a clear, comprehensive and integrated plan to provide the best high-quality and efficient services, pointing out to the total number of building Permits issued during 2024, which amounted to 4898 Permits, while the number of Permits during the same period in 2023 was estimated at 3384 Building Permits.
Eng. Al Falasi appreciated the support of the wise Leadership, which is keen to providing various facilities for everyone, which contributed to raising the level of satisfaction and general happiness, praising the continuous work and efforts of the ambitious qualified people in the Department, who are keen to move forward in the path of complete digital transformation and using AI and modern technologies to speed up transactions and finish them in very short time and with great accuracy, explaining that efforts are being made and tasks are being integrated to achieve the best results.
