Masfoot Municipality of the Municipality & Planning Department – Ajman suspended 16 food facilities from operation due to their incompliance to public health and safety conditions. Furthermore, the Inspection & Control Unit issued 979 warnings and 129 violations to food facilities operating in the city of Masfoot.
In this regard, Mr. Saif Ghadeer Al Ketbi, the Director of Masfoot Municipality, confirmed: “Caring for the health and safety of every citizen and resident is our top priority. We are working hard and intensifying efforts to ensure all facilities’ compliance to the clear instructions and proper rules for the protection of society’s safety.”
Al Ketbi continued: “The qualified personnel have intensified inspection campaigns on all points of sales, markets, and food facilities, as they have registered 3845 field visits over 44582 minutes of inspection. Such campaigns have resulted in the detection of more than 84 kg of foodstuff that is not good for use. The Municipality organizes periodic campaigns over the year.”
Al Ketbi further stated: “Efforts will be intensified during the Holy Month of Ramadan, which witnesses ongoing and periodic movement around the clock on the points of sale and food facilities. The Inspection Unit has prepared a comprehensive plan to cover all the areas of Masfoot city in order to ensure the safety of food stuff and products.”
