Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Citizens Affairs Office, opened Al Rawda Council in the Emirate of Ajman, in presence of Her Excellency Maryam Ali Al Maamari, Executive Director of the Office, and His Excellency Dr. Eng. Mohammed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Infrastructure Sector at Ajman Municipality and Planning Department.
This comes within the framework of the Citizens Affairs Office’s plan to establish neighborhood councils in different areas of the Emirate, with the aim of enhancing community cohesion and providing facilities that bring residents together for various social occasions and serving their interests.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi stressed that the councils provide a vital and effective model for positive social practices in the Emirate, and that there are mutual relations and interests between the community and government authorities to achieve the public interest and the strategic goal of enhancing the quality of life and happiness and well-being of society, pointing out that they contribute to consolidating the values of effective communication in the community among the people of the Emirate of Ajman of all generations, and holding social and official events, seminars and meetings to knowing each other.
For his part, Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Nuaimi explained that efforts are continuing to establish councils that serve the residents of the Emirate and provide them with opportunities to meet and communicate in a comfortable social environment, pointing out that such councils contribute to the cohesion of community members and encourage them to benefit from such councils as they are an effective link between community members and government authorities concerned with serving them.
Al Rawda Council comes as a continuation of the community initiatives implemented by the Office within the initiatives of the Year of Community 2025, bringing the number of active councils in the Emirate to 14 Councils.
The area of the Council is 460 sq. m., and it can accommodate about 120 people, making it ready to host various social and community events and occasions.
