Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA), stressed that Flag Day is a dear and precious national occasion for all of us to celebrate our identity, unity and cohesion, and it is a source of our pride and honor, in which we recall the great sacrifices and unique cultural legacy that Sheikh Zayed and the founding fathers, may Allah have mercy on them, provided us, and a nation that that embodied the ambitions of our wise leadership and the dream of its loyal people.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi extended his highest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may Allah protect him, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may Allah protect him”, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, and their brothers, Their Highnesses the Sheikhs, Rulers of the Emirates, and all citizens and residents on the anniversary of Flag Day.
“On this auspicious day, we stand with appreciation and respect for the generation of honorable fathers who gave so much, and devoted effort, time and thought to raise the flag, unify the word and establish the state, achieving what they aspired to with sincere determination, strength of will and unity of purpose,” Sheikh Rashid added in a speech on this occasion.
Sheikh Rashid said that Flag Day is a symbol of solidarity, support, unity and union and an occasion to preserve the nation’s accomplishments and its civilizational gains and to consolidate the brilliant image of the state, which has become a symbol of peace, security and achievements, occupying the prestigious position it deserves.
“Our flag will remain a symbol of love, peace, goodness, coexistence, tolerance, values, principles, history, heritage, authenticity and identity of the United Arab Emirates and a symbol of the success of the Union State and an honor to the people of the nation everywhere and at all times, “ Sheikh Rashid.
Wrapping up his speech, Sheikh Rashid said, ”The Flag Day is an occasion to renew loyalty to our wise leadership, and to enhance the nation’s accomplishments, keeping its flag fluttering high as a symbol of strength, pride, honor, and loftiness.
