Sponsored and attended by His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA), Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Majlis hosted a dialogue session dubbed: “National Identity and Cohesion… Promising Generations and Sustainable Giving”, as part of the “Community Dialogue” initiative organized by the Youth Council of the Ministry of Community Empowerment.
The session was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Her Excellency Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrui, Minister of Community Empowerment, Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of Education, His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, and saw the participation of representatives of myriad federal and local entities, national identity ambassadors, volunteers, school and university students.
His Excellency Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi delivered an opening speech in which he stressed the wise leadership’s interest in the Emirati youth, saying: “I am proud and honored to be a young Emirati living on this good soil that has blessed us with so much good and giving. We receive great attention and care under the wise and responsible leadership, which has given the people of the nation all support and attention, believing that the youth are the true wealth of the United Arab Emirates and its prosperous future.”
The session tackled a host of topics, the most important of which were consolidating national identity and societal cohesion, and the importance of the role of the family as the “nucleus” for instilling authentic values ​​in the souls of new generations, and other Emirati customs, along with the importance of the school education system in honing the personality of students and their knowledge opportunities, as the bedrock of developing their skills and qualifying them for the university stage and the labor market, as well as the importance of reinforcing volunteer work among young people, and raising awareness of its importance and community endeavors, based on it being a moral and societal duty and commitment.
The session hosted a number youth models with inspiring success stories; Hamad Al-Eidaroos, Head of the Scientific and Technical Skills Department in the Future Skills Department at the Ministry of Education, Chairman of the Ministry of Education Youth Council, Student Jumana Al-Eidaroos, a graduate of the Knowledge Makers Program – Emirates Schools Establishment, a graduate of the Content Knight Program – New Media Academy, to introduce the attendees, especially students and youth, to their inspiring experiences, and to familiarize them with the authentic Emirati values ​​and customs, as well as providing them with future skills and tools that qualify them to foresee a prosperous future for themselves.
The “Community Dialogue” initiative, launched by the Youth Council of the Ministry of Community Empowerment, is an interactive dialogue platform that brings together decision-makers, officials, and people with inspiring experiences and successes in the UAE, within a positive dialogue to discuss various societal issues, and to get acquainted with the best practices, in order to come up with effective and practical recommendations and solutions to empower all societal groups, enhance authentic Emirati values ​​and customs, and sustain the approach of the founding leaders of the UAE.
