His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Municipality & Planning Department and Chairman of Higher Committee for Administrative Census in Emirate of Ajman held a meeting at his offices with the Administrative Census Team of Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Center (ASCC) to present and discuss the 2021 Administrative Census developments, outline the results and current indicators of administrative census report, including the development phases of the Administrative Census Project, the development of status of administrative registers and developments of linking the administrative records of governmental entities with ASCC and to present the results of buildings and homes data in addition to the individuals and families results and indicators gathered from the Self-enumeration Platform.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Hajar Saeed Al-Hubaishi, CEO of ASSC, Dr. Yasmeen Al Joudi, Technical Statistics Advisor at ASCC and Hessa bin Zayed, Tariq Mahrous and Ahmed Abdulla, the members of the Administrative Census Team.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi welcomed the team members and wished them success in their functions. He also spoke about the importance of this national project in making the future economic, social, development, urban and planning policies and, consequently, achieving Ajman 2021 Vision and Strategy.
“This project receives special attention and support of His Highness the Ruler and is constantly followed by His Highness the Crown Prince, believing in the importance of the Self-enumeration Platform in providing all accurate information and data that support the decision makers” he added.
Dr. Hajar outlined the current and future project plan and phases of Administrative Census Project which have been implemented, wherein the geographical coverage of Masfout and Manama was 100% completed and work is under way to encourage and help families to register in the Self-enumeration Platform in the city of Ajman. The team plan for work allocation by geographical areas and population was presented together with the main results and current indicators regarding the results and indicators of the register of buildings, real estate units and economic facilities, the results of labor camps data, the results of data and indicators of individuals and families registered in the Self-Enumeration Platform in addition to the current status of connectivity with governmental entities.
His Highness was briefed on the administrative census recommendations to direct the governmental entities to make further efforts and do more for linking and completing the administrative registers with ASCC, encouraging and urging all individuals and families to cooperate with ASCC to gather all data through the login and registration in the Self-enumeration Platform, and encouraging all labor camp officers to complete all the labor data.
It is worth noting that the administrative census aims to establish a central register for data of population, buildings, homes and facilities and get high quality data and comprehensive real-time updated coverage. The best and basic international practices, methodologies and recommendations in the digital statistical transformation process have been applied in gathering data in the administrative census for the register of population, homes, buildings and facilities. The administrative census includes all individuals (nationals and non-nationals) living in the emirate of Ajman, including the cities of Ajman, Masfout and Manama and registered in the official register. It also counts all individuals, whether those permanently residing in the Emirate or the non-nationals with valid residence.
At the end of the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi extended his thanks and appreciation to ASCC team for their valuable efforts, devotion and effective contribution to the completion of this great work. He also stressed the importance of the collaboration and participation of all population and governmental entities in emirate of Ajman in the completion and success of this vital project, which would be of benefit to both the individuals and community.
