The NAWAFETH 8 Exhibition, organized by the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) under the theme “Your Gateway to the Future”, received visitors on its first day to view digital services and sustainability projects, at City Centre Ajman.
His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi, Director General of the MPDA, reviewed the progress of work in the Exhibition, which aims to communicate with the community, learn about requirements and needs, and listen to development proposals. The MPDA seeks to reach every individual in society, believing in the role of each person in the prosperity of the Emirate and moving towards a more successful and distinct future, His Excellency stressed.
His Excellency noted that NAWAFETH, over the past sessions, has taken part in enhancing the institutional reputation of the MPDA and managed to achieve the desired goals of its launch, as it brought together qualified competencies at the MPDA with clients, residents, and visitors, and we worked to select resources capable of dealing with all segments and in different languages.
For his part, Ibrahim Samra Al Shehhi, Director of the Liaison and Community Department, said that the Exhibition includes a myriad of activities, the most important of which is the sustainability workshop for children, which enables them to transform plastic water bottle lids into artistic paintings, to instill positive principles in them and guide them to possible methods in the field of recycling and reinvesting all resources, to preserve the environment and in line with the wise leadership’s visions and directions.
The MPDA launched the Imagine Ajman Competition to encourage the community to use artificial intelligence technologies and draw the features of Ajman in its living, transformation and sustainability, Al Shehhi said, stressing the role of everyone in the success of improvement projects in various fields.
It is worth mentioning that the Exhibition includes several pavilions with suggestions and interactive activities with children, a pavilion displaying services for visitors and a pavilion for knowledge competitions. The Exhibition eyed a remarkable turnout on its first day.
