The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) received a delegation from the Sharjah Public Works Department, as part of the strategy followed to exchange successful experiences and expertise, and to review the best practices applied in the financial field.
Mr. Abdul Raouf Mahmoud, Director of the MPDA’s Financial Affairs Department, welcomed the visiting delegation, stressing the MPDA’s keenness to deepen the aspects of partnership and integration with government bodies and institutions in the UAE to achieve the best results in serving customers, and that the MPDA has made distinct accomplishments in the financial field and has won international awards and international accreditations in appreciation of its efforts and relentless work in the field.
The MPDA proceeds according to an outstanding approach and a forward-looking vision to achieve financial sustainability, following internationally approved financial standards, and keeping pace with the directions of the MPDA and the government, in a manner that advances government work and achieves the best strategic targets, he added.
The meeting, which was attended by representatives of the MPDA’s Financial Planning and Budget Department and the Accounts Department, included a presentation of the MPDA’s strategy in managing the financial plan and annual budget, initiatives applied to rationalize expenditures, and the nature of service fees provided to customers, along with the most important strategic indicators for measuring financial performance.
For its part, the visiting delegation appreciated the MPDA’s cooperation and keenness to introduce best practices and provide qualitative experiences, praising the development efforts and achievements made by the MPDA in the financial field, becoming a pioneering model for government institutions and agencies.
