The Municipality and Planning Department-Ajman (MPDA) has finished the project to beautify the median strip of Al Ittihad Street, with a length of 7,000 meters in Al Zawraa area, in addition to planting and beautifying Al Zawraa roundabout, as part of its non-stopping efforts to bring sustainability and increase greeneries in all areas of the Emirate of Ajman.
In this connection, Mr. Ahmed Saif Al Muhairi, Director of the Agriculture and Public Parks Department, asserted that the MPDA proceeds with greening and afforestation plans and increasing the Emirate’s attractiveness, in line with the government’s visions and aspirations geared towards elevating Ajman to be one of the most important green cities around the world, with its residents and visitors enjoying a distinctive visual identity and a clean atmosphere.
The project, completed in 6 months, is part of the MPDA’s 24/7 efforts to double the green spaces in the Emirate and enhance the city’s aesthetics. It is one of afforestation projects, as the MPDA goes on with implementing agricultural projects and making them a sustainable lifestyle, Al Muhairi explained..
He added that the qualified cadres responsible for completing this vital project sought to reuse treated water for irrigation, drawing on palm trees, ornamental shrubs, soil covers, and agricultural basins.
