H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Chairman of Ajman Municipality & Planning Department, opened the “Happiness Park” at Al Jurf area, which is enlisted within the category of residential complex parts, so that it would be a new recreational space and a natural entertainment facility to be added to the series of the Emirate’s parks, and which also expands the percentage of greenery within the Emirate.
His Highness was accompanied in the opening, which is concurrent with the “Plantation Week” of the UAE, which was launched under the banner “Together, let’s plant the UAE.”, by H.E. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, the Director-General of the Municipality Department, Eng. Khalid Moeen Al Hosani, the Executive Director of the Public Health & Environment Sector, Ahmed Saif Al Muhairi, the Director of the Agriculture & Parks Department, a number of officials, and the project’s work team.
In this regard, H.H. emphasized: “The Department gives a lot of attention to expanding greenery and the promotion of Ajman to become one of the most significant green cities in the world, where the population enjoys breathtaking scenery and a healthy and pure ambience, and which would also attract tourists and visitors to tour in an ideal environment.”
His Highness appreciated the efforts of the ambitious personnel of the Agriculture & Parks Department, which has adopted a clear and total plan for the coverage of all the areas of the Emirate and decorating the same with greenery, and the creation of natural recreational areas everywhere, while he added: “The Happiness Park opens its doors for everybody to enjoy the various facilities and services.”
In Support of the People of Determination
During the opening, His Highness overview the plantation products of the people of determination in the Emirate, while he conveyed his pride and admiration of their high-quality works, as they are: “The competent people of determination who are able to be creative wherever they are.”
His Highness instructed the allocation of a fixed area for the display of the products of the people of determination in the New Farmers Market, which will open nearly, while he stated: “What we have seen deserves all support and motivation.”
Various Services
From his side, Ahmed Saif Al Muhairi gave a detailed explanation to His Highness and to the attendants about the park’s project and its working stages, stating: “The Park was created on an area of around 5 thousand square meters. Furthermore, the personnel in charge of its implementation have cared to provide it with an automatic irrigation system that uses treated water for the preservation of natural resources.”
Al Muhairi continued: “The Park contains various green spaces, as it contains the greenery, trees, flowery bushes, and various flowers. The Park provides playgrounds for the children and is equipped with canopies. Furthermore, its design and uses are consistent with the needs of the people of determination. The Park contains pergolas with various sitting spaces, corridors and 110 car parking lots.”
Al Muhairi said: “The Park has been provided with lighting that operates on solar power. The Department is caring to provide large spaces for playing various sports and as such, it has provided a track for walking and running in a length of 450 meters.”
