H.E. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, the Director-General of Ajman Municipality & Planning Department, awarded the cooperating entities and work teams that have contributed to the success of the self-driven vehicle project, by supplementing its efforts and unifying its objectives for the accomplishment of this remarkable project, which has achieved positive results over the past period.
His Excellency said: “The project contributes to the attainment of the strategic objective for the development of an integrated infrastructure. Since its inception, the project enjoyed the leadership’s support, which cared for its continuity so that it would help in the growth of the Emirate and the enhancement of its digital economy and the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI), augmented with the latest technologies, as well as the several features of the vehicle, which is equipped with the 5th generation (G5) of complete security and utmost safety inside it.”
His Excellency continued: “The vehicle has coped with the UAE Vision 2021 and the National Agenda that aim to make the UAE amongst the best countries in the world in the field of sustainable transport, supporting by G5 networking and advanced technologies.”
His Excellency conveyed his gratitude to all entities and work teams that have contributed to the success of the project, while he wished the continuity of the project and the expansion of its scope of operation and the achievement of the best over the upcoming period.
In her role, Sheikha Noora Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Director of Ajman X Center and the Self-Driven Vehicle Project Manager, stated: “The Center has cared for the adoption of the wise visions for advancement in the domain of complete digital transformation. Therefore, efforts and partnerships intensified for the launching of pioneering projects, most significantly, the self-driven vehicle project, which aimed for the provision of a smart and developed means of transport, equipped with all sciences of advanced technology and future to become suitable amidst the various surrounding circumstances. Furthermore, such vehicle is characterized by being equipped for accommodating persons of limited mobility, as it is flexible and has a large capacity, which can accommodate up to 15 persons.”
Al Nuaimi said: “We have aimed for the creation of a qualitative transformation in the field of transport systems, by the provision of innovated solutions of transport, the reduction of congestion, and the development of the city’s infrastructure.”, while she conveyed her happiness of the cooperation with the partners that have contributed to the accomplishment of success. Furthermore, she offered her utmost gratitude to the wise leadership that believes in pioneering projects.
