The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman, in cooperation with the International Charity Organization (ICO) implemented an Iftar initiative for more than 500 workers AT SOUK SALEH in the Emirate of Ajman; a banquet that extended along the market, within the framework of commitment to the values and principles of social responsibility and appreciation of the efforts of workers.
In this regard, Dr. Engr. MOHAMMED AHMED BIN OMAIR AL MUHAIRI, Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector at the Department, confirmed during his participation in the initiative that the Department is concerned with caring for all segments of the community, including the workers who play an important and major role around the clock. Accordingly, we were keen on letting the employees and their children participate in an initiative that aims at making workers feel that they are an integral part of us, and we were keen on sharing the Iftar table with them in an atmosphere of love and brotherhood.
Dr. M. BIN OMAIR praised ICO’s cooperation, support and keenness to distribute meals to workers, indicating that all departments and institutions adopt the values of our pioneering country and work intensively to provide the best for the segments that need help and support and spare no effort to help and support them to continue the journey of life.
For his part, Mr. IBRAHIM SAMRA AL-SHEHHI, Director of the Liaison and Community Department at the Department, explained that the workers’ Iftar initiative falls within the Department’s community and humanitarian initiatives that aim at the happiness of workers, pointing out that the Holy Month witnessed the distribution of 2,000 daily Iftar meals to workers, in addition to the recreational, health and social initiatives that the Department organizes periodically for workers.
