Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi Inspects Several Vital Street Development Projects in The Emirate

Completion of the Project anticipated during the Third Quarter of this Year

 

His Excellency Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, the Director General of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, conducted an inspection of the ongoing street development projects in the emirate. During this visit, he evaluated the progress of Al Salam Street project, Sheikh Zayed Road development, and Rashid bin Saeed Street development, in alignment with the Department’s strategy for developing comprehensive infrastructure.

This inspection was part of a field tour led by His Excellency, accompanied by Engineer Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, the Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector, along with several experts and specialists.

 

70% Completion Rate of Al Salam Street

His Excellency commenced the tour by assessing the latest advancements in Al Salam Street project, which extends from Al Muwaihat Roundabout to the Ajman Ring Road. The Department is focused on expanding the road to include three lanes in each direction, enhancing roundabouts, and establishing service roads and parking facilities on both sides.

 

His Excellency urged the team to persist in their efforts to finalize this AED 62 million project. He expressed appreciation for the vigorous work being undertaken, noting that the completion rate has reached 70%. This project aims to improve traffic flow in the Ajman Industrial Area and Al Muwaihat, while also connecting these areas to Sheikh Zayed Road and the Ajman Ring Road.

 

60% Completion Rate of Sheikh Zayed Road Development Project

His Excellency received an update on the progress of Sheikh Zayed Road development project in Al Helio area, which runs from its junction with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road to its intersection with Ajman Border Street. The objective is to expand the road to three lanes in each direction, implement service roads and parking lots, and organize intersections with traffic signals and free turning options.

His Excellency commended the 60% completion rate and instructed the team to continue their work on this AED 64 million project, to enhance traffic flow and improve connectivity with other major roads.

 

75% Completion Rate of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street Development Project -Phase I

His Excellency concluded his site visit by reviewing the ongoing work on Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street Development project- phase I , which has rated 75% completion to connects Ajman Port to the city center and leads to the Sheikh Khalifa Interchange.

 

Dr. Eng. Bin Omair provided His Excellency with a comprehensive overview of the objectives of this AED 75 million project. He detailed the various phases of completion, highlighting the ongoing construction of a 500-meter bridge featuring three lanes, the establishment of service roads, and the finalization of the lighting and rainwater drainage systems. Additionally, a rainwater pumping station is being implemented, along with modifications to parking facilities and the creation of a signalized intersection with free circulation openings beneath the bridge.

Dr. Bin Omair further noted that the three associated projects, with a total cost of AED 200 million, are expected to be fully completed by the third quarter of 2025, as part of a broader effort to enhance street capacity, improve traffic flow, and integrate current developments with both existing and future projects.
