The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman announced the number of tests conducted by the Environmental Laboratory, up to 1,571 samples in 2024, according to MPDA statistics, in line with the environment preservation goals.
In this connection, Dr. Eng. Khaled Maeen Al-Hosani, Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector, asserted that the MPDA places great and constant importance on the field of the environment, the sustainability of its resources, and their preservation, aligning its plans, projects, and initiatives with the desired goals for positive results in this vital area.
The tests include the examination of solid and liquid factory waste, seawater samples, cosmetic product samples, organic fertilizers, in addition to other environmental samples, aiming to ensure that the samples comply with environmental regulations and local and international standards, Al-Hosani said.
Al-Hosani hailed the efforts of the competent cadres constantly inspect and monitor industrial, professional, and environmental facilities, as well as monitoring the marine environment, treated sewage water, and liquid waste resulting from factories.
