AJMAN MUNICIPALITY WELCOMES SENIOR CITIZENS AT THE CUSTOMER HAPPINESS CENTER AS PART OF THE “ZWARAT AL DUHAA” INITIATIVE

The Municipality and Planning Department of Ajman, at its Customer Happiness Center, hosted a delegation from the Seniors’ Happiness Centre of the Ministry of Community Empowerment. This event, attended by eight (8) senior citizens was organized in accordance with the “Zwarat Al Duhaa” initiative, which was launched by the Seniors’ Happiness Center in order to encourage visits by senior citizens to both federal and local authorities, highlight their significant contribution to society, familiarize them with various projects and achievements within the emirate, and leverage their experiences and innovative ideas for development.

In this context, Dr. Eng. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Department’s Infrastructure Development Sector, emphasized the importance of senior citizens as a vital segment of society. He stated that the Department is committed to reaching out and engaging with them, incorporating their insights into service development, and ensuring that they can utilize smart applications with ease, thereby facilitating the completion of transactions in a timely manner.

During the visit, the staff gave a comprehensive overview of the Department’s services and specialties, as well as its communication channels to the delegation, led by Rashid Mohamed Obaid Al Ghamlasi, the Director of the Centre. The presentation covered the Buildings Department’s functions, and their role in the emirate, along with an explanation of the role of the Survey & Planning and Roads & Infrastructure Departments.

Dr. Eng. Al Muhairi expressed his pride in the various positive initiatives aimed at benefiting senior citizens. He commended the Centre’s efforts to offer numerous advantages and facilities designed to enhance the quality of life for this demographic. He emphasized the Department’s commitment to strengthening collaborative relationships and broadening opportunities for mutual coordination to initiate further positive initiatives.

Dr. Eng. Al Muhairi also acknowledged the valuable contributions of the Department’s qualified professionals, who are adept at engaging with all segments of society, particularly senior citizens and educating them on how to utilize applications and access services in a more accessible manner.

At Zwarat Al Duhaa, senior citizens presented several proposals and engaged in discussions regarding various issues related to parking and addressing service. They praised the constructive session, which underscored their role as a reservoir of experience and an essential foundation for ongoing prosperity and advancement.
