The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEI) and the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) signed an agreement of strategic cooperation, to strengthen the mutual coordination, open new horizons of mutual action, and frame aspects of partnership in a manner that serves the strategic goals of both sides s and benefits all.
The agreement was signed by MOEI’s Undersecretary for Infrastructure and Transport Affairs, His Excellency Hassan Mohammed Al Mansouri, and MPDA’s Director General, His Excellency Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.
The agreement enhances the implementation of infrastructure and housing development projects, to provide community with the best services and to speed up and take down the procedures followed in the population file, as well as supporting the visions of sustainable global leadership, the two sides noted, stressing the importance of launching vital projects that serve local community and whose impact is felt by all, in light of the integrated tasks and roles between local and federal bodies and shared work to provide the best for community.
In this connection, His Excellency Hassan Al Mansouri stressed that the MOEI is working hard in cooperation with entities and institutions to achieve the best results in the United Arab Emirates. Each entity plays an important and vital role in ensuring leadership and applying the best global practices, and tasks are integrated and strategic objectives are aligned for the State’s progress in various competitive indicators, His Excellency said, pointing to hand-in-hand cooperation to build sustainable cities and achieve holistic and integrated development.
For his part, His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi explained that the MPDA supports joint action and documentation of procedures to contribute to raising the quality of life. Expressing his happiness with meeting the MOEI’s official and fruitful cooperation to identify the challenges and find practical solutions, the impact of which is felt by every individual living in the State, His Excellency noted that the MPDA’s work is consistent with that of the MOEI, as both share the same path, common goals, and work is on for the best.
The agreement frames cooperation in the field of achieving strategic interconnectivity between infrastructure components and residential communities, developing integrated infrastructure within the State’s development plans, advancing the local and global competitiveness index in urban planning, and joint cooperation in specific vital fields, including the application of sustainability, green buildings and launch of joint future projects.
Partner Council to review best practices
In a related context, the MPDA organized the Partners Council in the field of infrastructure development, where the MOEI reviewed the strategy followed, the indicators achieved, the goals desired, the projects implemented, and the current and future projects in the field of comprehensive and integrated development.
The Council included the MPDA’s review of the draft strategic map 2030, which is compatible with the Ajman Government Vision 2030, underscoring the importance of cementing constructive communication with the MOEI and taking development proposals to enrich the future map.
