His Excellency Abdul Rahman Mohammad Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA), received the ISO 21502:2020 certificate for project management, programs and project portfolios, thus the MPDA has become the first department to win the certificate across the Government of Ajman, announcing that it has been granted 26 standards to the very moment.
In the presence of Mr. Khaled Ahmed Al Hosani, MPDA’s Director of Support Services Department, Engineer Noura Rashid Shattaf, Executive Director of the Strategy and Customer Happiness Sector, and Mr. Marwan Al-Aridi, Director of Accreditation at Bureau Veritas, His Excellency honored the ambitious cadres that received the certificate after passing all the stages of evaluation and auditing from the awarder.
MPDA is proud of obtain this standard, which enhances its leadership in the field of project management across Ajman, as the Department is a pioneer in meeting the requirements of the international standard and adopting the best international practices in applying an integrated system that achieves effective control, quality management, and distinct performance of projects, programs, and project portfolios. It ensures the expected benefits from the projects in order to achieve the happiness of every individual in society and secure elements of well-being and optimal and carefree living, His Excellency noted.
His Excellency went on saying that the Department has eyed the launch of various projects oriented towards all society groups, and managed to advance the economy and tourism and attract visitors and investors, calling on qualified cadres to keep on the path of excellence and launch of projects that exceed expectations and achieve the best results.
