The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) has finished a 7-kilometre-long road lighting project in Manama, at a cost of 2 million dirhams, within the MPDA’s efforts to develop an integrated infrastructure and ensure life quality.
In this connection, His Excellency Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, MPDA’s Director General, confirmed that lighting internal roads in residential areas translates the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, and with the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, to develop and refine infrastructure in residential areas, so as to meet the needs of population and urban expansion in the Emirate, improve the life quality, and achieve the goals of Ajman’s strategic indicators.
Competencies working in the MPDA’s Roads Department spared no effort to get done with the lighting project during the last period in the busy area that eyes ceaseless movement of residents and visitors, aiming to provide luxury and comfortable living for the community, His Highness added.
For his part, Dr. Eng. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the MPDA’s Infrastructure Development Sector, noted that the lighting projects are part of the MPDA’s overarching and integrated development plan to provide lighting across areas, consistent with Ajman’s 2040 Urban Master Plan. The MPDA used the latest LED technologies which play big part in reducing energy consumption and reducing carbon emissions for environmental protection, Al Muhairi added.
