His Excellency Abdul Rahman Mohamed Al Nuaimi, the Director General of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, received the International Accreditation Certificate according to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 from the Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC). The Central Laboratories Department achieved this renewal after successfully passing all auditing and evaluation stages and meeting the required standards.
This milestone was celebrated during His Excellency’s meeting with an EIAC delegation, which included Engineer Khaled Moeen Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector, Engineer Abdullah Al Tamimi, Director of the Central Laboratories Department, and the working team.
His Excellency commended the competent personnel’s efforts, recognizing the daily commitment of laboratories to providing high-quality services to customers while continuously seeking improvement. He expressed pride in the Centre’s maintaining confidence in the Central Laboratories for five consecutive years.
He noted that the certificate reflects the laboratories’ adherence to efficiency standards and quality systems, explaining that the certificate recognizes food, environmental, and building materials laboratories as leaders in high-quality testing.
For his part, Eng. Abdullah Al Tamimi explained that the work in the laboratories is ongoing to achieve further success. He emphasized that the team put in significant effort to obtain the international certificate, successfully validating their analysis methods as part of the accreditation program. This positions them to expand their approved methods in the near future.
Eng. Al Tamimi stated that this achievement highlights their dedication to improving services and adhering to international laboratory standards. It represents a step forward in their continuous efforts to enhance work systems and support the Department’s strategic goals, which include promoting public health, ensuring food safety, and advancing sustainable infrastructure development.
