The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) completed a 20-km-long road lighting project in Al-Raqaib and Al Yasmee residential area, using the latest LED lighting technologies that contribute to curb energy consumption and carbon emissions to preserve the environment, as part of the MPDA’s endeavor to provide an integrated infrastructure across Ajman.
In this vein, MPDA’s Director General His Excellency Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, asserted that the MPDA has adopted an integrated plan to carry out infrastructure development projects and supply them with the necessary operational lighting, noting that the competencies working in the Roads Department sought to complete the lighting project during the last period in the vital residential areas that eye traffic around the clock.
His Excellency said that the implementation of the internal road lighting project in residential areas comes as a translation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Federal Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, may Allah protect him, and with the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, to develop and improve the infrastructure in the residential areas to meet the needs of population and urban expansion in Ajman, raise the quality of life, and achieve the goals of Ajman’s strategic indicators.
His Excellency stated that the AED 5-million project meets the needs of residents and visitors and is in line with the MPDA’s objectives that seek to provide elements of luxury and good living for all.
For his part, Dr\Eng. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the MPDA’s Infrastructure Development Sector, stated that the MPDA carries out lighting projects in accordance with prepared plans to cover all areas of Ajman and supply them with lighting, noting that qualified competencies carry out the projects all over Ajman, and continue their efforts to ensure quality of life and happiness of the society.
