Masfoot and Manama Municipalities of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, opened the Spring Festival in both cities. The festival occurs every year to celebrate authentic customs and folklore, support sports talents, and launch various community events.
In this regard, H.E. Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, stressed that the festival has achieved great success during the previous editions and its fifth edition is launched to continue community initiatives and sports activities. He indicated that Masfout and Manama cities are two facades of the Emirate full of picturesque nature and historical monuments.
“The festival is open to all segments of society until December 31, 2022, to benefit from the various activities catering to all tastes and ages”, he added.
For his part, Saif Ghadeer Al Ketbi, Director of Masfoot Municipality, emphasized that the festival enjoys great support from His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department, and the follow-up of H.E. Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, for their keenness to provide an entertainment and cultural atmosphere for the festival audience. He indicated that the festival, in its current edition, will focus on holding sports tournaments, knowledge activities, and promoting heritage and originality.
Al Ketbi explained that those in charge of the festival are keen to organize it every year at this time, for mild climate and the opportunity to organize activities in open spaces.
For his part, Salem Abdullah bin Ghalita, Director of Manama Municipality, explained that Manama city is pleased with the annual festival, which seeks to reach every individual in society, and to involve everyone in various events that reflect the ancient history and Emirati heritage.
“The festival coincides with the spring break for school students, which allows them to participate in educational and sporting events, and to seize the time for their benefit”, he added.
