MPDA organizes “Current and Future Challenges in the Field of Infrastructure Development” Majlis, in presence of representatives from Ajman’s authorities and community

The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) organized a session on “Current and Future Challenges in the Field of Infrastructure Development”, in the presence of representatives from the authorities, institutions, departments and community in the Emirate of Ajman, at Al Wasl Majlis, as part of the community cmajlis initiative aimed at listening to the opinions of residents and considering their development proposals in vital areas and the MPDA’s competencies.

 

Dr. Eng. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the MPDA’s Infrastructure Development Sector, welcomed the attendees, asserting that the MPDA worksa round the clock to develop an integrated infrastructure, enhance the Emirate’s attractiveness, provide the best living conditions, enrich the quality of life in Ajman, and achieve integrated and sustainable mobility through holistic urban management, sustainable construction and building, develop a smart geospatial system, facilitate access to the desired areas, improve the quality of road infrastructure, and continuous development in the construction and building system.

 

Bin Omair noted that the MPDA is keen to meet face to face with the residents, as they are the goal and target, and for them, the competencies work around the clock to ensure their happiness and enjoyment of the highest standards of luxury in various walks of life, voicing his happiness with the remarkable attendance that reflects the community’s confidence in the MPDA and documents aspects of communication with all.

 

Bin Omair spoke about the MPDA’s current and future plans and projects to develop an integrated infrastructure all over the Emirate, provide them with lighting and ideal services, develop rainwater drainage networks according to the highest international and global standards, and maintain the smoothness and ease of movement through development and traffic diversions.

 

Benefiting From Live Experiences

Bin Omair said that the MPDA turns challenges into opportunities and enablers and extracts lessons from every real experience, touching on the Al-Hadir depression and the unprecedented rains that the country witnessed. The MPDA set a development plan and a case study for all areas of the Emirate and announced the attraction of qualitative ideas for improvement and development and confronting any upcoming challenge, he added.

 

Improvement Needs Time

Bin Omair asserted that the MPDA has a comprehensive and integrated development plan covering all over the Emirate, and requires cooperation from everyone, as development work needs time and the MPDA considers finding alternative scenarios to ensure that residents reach their destinations in record time and reduce congestion.

 

Comprehensive Development

The MPDA’s Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector spoke about synchronizing road development projects with afforestation and preserving the existing asset while developing it to preserve the distinctive identity of the Emirate of Ajman.

 

Current and Future Projects

For her part, Eng. Latifa Al Ghafli, Road Supervision Engineer at the MPDA, gave a detailed explanation to the attendees about the current and future road development projects in the Emirate and the lighting and rainwater drainage projects that the MPDA is working to complete in all areas.

 

Dialogue and Exchange of Proposals

The Majlis eyed the opening of the discussion, which was characterized by wide participation from the attendees who appreciated the work of the MPDA and its exceptional efforts in infrastructure development, presenting a host of proposals that will be submitted to the senior leadership for approval and transformation into projects whose impact will be tangible for all.
