His Excellency Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA), received the ISO 22329:2021 certificate for managing social media platform activities during emergencies, making it the first municipality to be granted the certificate at the level of the State’s municipalities.
In the presence of Engineer Noura Rashid Shattaf, Executive Director of the Strategy and Customer Happiness Sector, and Mr. Marwan Al Aridi, Director of Certification from the ISO certification company Bureau Veritas, His Excellency Al Nuaimi honored the ambitious competencies who received the certificate after passing all the stages of evaluation and auditing by the awarding body.
His Excellency voiced his pride in the accomplishment that is added to the MPDA’s record of successes and excellence in various fields. “Our true success is embodied in our communication with all segments and groups of society, especially in exceptional cases and emergencies, a matter which confirms the importance of this standard that highlights the extraordinary efforts exerted by the qualified resources and relentless work to enhance positive and effective communication with society, and professional management of social media before, during and after emergencies” His Excellency said.
His Excellency added, “We have seen, during the last period, diligent work in exceptional cases, including fluctuating weather conditions, to enable our cadres to reach the society, communicate effectively via social media platforms, and achieve the desired goals by following the best practices and systematic steps to ensure society happiness.
For his part, Mr. Ibrahim Samra Al Shehhi, Director of the Liaison Department, provided a detailed explanation of the work stages followed to manage the social media platforms in emergencies and exceptional situations, noting that proactive planning is done by documenting possible scenarios and preventive measures for every expected event or emergency in various languages and under a specific time plan. “Our goal is to enhance trust and embody the values of transparency and credibility.”
