In the First Half of the Current Year, 2024: 1,120,324 LM of Total Paved Roads in Ajman Emirate

Ajman Department of Municipality & Planning announced the total lengths of paved roads in the Emirate, amounting 1,120,234 linear meters, according to the report issued by the Department for the first half of the current year, 2024.

 

In this regard, Dr. Eng. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al-Muhairi, the Executive Director of the Department’s Infrastructure Development Sector, confirmed: “Infrastructure development is among the most important strategic objectives of the Department, in the course of the ongoing efforts to enhance the attractiveness and livability of the Emirate, in order to provide integrated and sustainable transportation by a comprehensive urban management and sustainable construction, to provide a smart geospatial system, to facilitate access to desired destinations, and to improve the quality of road infrastructure.”

 

Dr. Eng. Omar stated: “The qualified competent personnel have prepared integrated and comprehensive plans to cover all the areas of Ajman Emirate, to ensure the presence of paved roads that are designed according to the highest standards, and to attain traffic fluidity, a thing which has contributed to increasing the lengths of paved roads by 58,846 linear meters as compared with the first half of 2023, so that the percentage of paved roads in the Emirate would amount (59.6%).”

 

Dr. Eng. Bin Omair said: “The packages that have been recently commissioned by H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi, the Member of the Federal Supreme Council and the Ruler of Ajman (May Allah Protect Him), have contributed to the development of the network of main roads and have decreased the lengths of journeys to destinations, whereas a comprehensive plan was set forth for the implementation of projects that would address the largest category of the society and whose impact can be felt by the Emirate’s residents, visitors and tourists, a thing which will provide the required expansion that copes with the size of use.” Bin Omair conveyed his ongoing pride of the Emirate’s wise leadership, and its ongoing care and persistence for supporting developmental projects and giving the Department the green light to commission and implement vital projects that would generate positive impacts on all aspects of life.

 

Dr. Eng. Bin Omair continued: “The Department has short, medium and long term plans for road & infrastructure development, as work is going on intensively for the construction of a set of new roads and the development of some of the existing roads according to the technical and economic requirements and the indoor and outdoor environment.” He followed-up: “The Department has recently implemented a set of paved roads at the areas of Al-Rowdha, Masfout and Mohammed bin Zayed, in order to provide easy and convenient access to lands and houses in such areas and to cope with the urban development in the region.
