The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman announced that two companies were caught transporting landfill from various areas in the emirate without proper permits. Three vehicles of the two companies were penalized, seized, and confiscated, with each company being fined AED 10,000, for repeated violations, as part of ongoing monitoring of all non-compliant activities.
In this context, Eng. Khaled Moeen Al Hosani, Acting Director General of the Department, has affirmed the Department’s commitment to continuously promoting awareness and fostering a positive culture among individuals. He also emphasized the importance of educating the public on the detrimental impacts of haphazard landfill use, highlighting the need to manage this natural resource in an organized manner to guarantee its longevity and conservation across all areas of the emirate.
Eng. Al Hosani affirmed that Rased Section operates 24/7 to maintain the emirate’s perfect image and beauty, and to combat any negative phenomena. He emphasized that the Department will take action to prevent anyone from breaking the established laws.
Eng. Al Hosani urged all companies to get the required approvals and permits for transporting landfill sand, report any violations, and help the Department and its staff in minimizing negative phenomena.
