On day three of its participation in GITEX, MPDA signs MoU with SAS Middle East FZ, launching Sitemap Automatic Renewal Service and Ajman’s Sustainable Spatial Map

The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) continued its participation to showcase its most prominent digital projects and initiatives, during its participation under the umbrella of the Ajman Government in GITEX 2023, where the MPDA’s pavilion, during its third day of participation in the most important tech exhibition in the region, eyed the organization of myriad of events.

 

Memorandum of Understanding

The MPDA, represented by Mr. Yousef Mohammed Al Shaiba Al Nuaimi, Advisor to the MPDA’s Chairman, signed a MoU with SAS Middle East FZ-LLC , represented by its Manager, Mr. Bin Bin Xio. The MoU comes as part of the strategic plan of the Ajman Government, and in an effort to implement the strategic goals of the two sides and support their joint efforts, as well as to enhance the quality policies and excellence systems adopted and pursued by the Ajman Government, target the public interest of the Emirate, and the willingness of both parties to support and reinforce their existing cooperation and their belief in their role in achieving the goals of rational directions of the State in general and the Emirate of Ajman in particular in the areas concerning both parties, and the role of each party and its participation in the Emirate’s technological development, and based on the keenness of the two parties to this MoU to establish technical and knowledge cooperation in an effort to create a cooperative environment by effectively supporting, fostering and developing their strategic partnerships.

 

In this connection, Mr. Yousef Mohammed Al Shaiba Al Nuaimi asserted that the MPDA tirelessly seeks to move forward in the artificial intelligence field and employ the latest technologies to perfect work, develop services and achieve the best results. Therefore, it seeks to consolidate relationships with leading entities in the digital field, aiming to develop a digital data strategy by strengthening human capabilities in data science and artificial intelligence, developing artificial intelligence and data science applications, and building human capabilities to step up the accomplishments of sustainable development goals.

 

For his part, Mr. Bin Bin Xio voiced his pride in the joint cooperation and coordination geared towards exchanging experiences and joint cooperation in data science and artificial intelligence fields, and enhancing the role of modern technology in data. The MoU includes activating the Digital Data Program, which is designed to effectively collect and analyze digital data to improve services and make decisions. The Program is aimed at enhancing the efficiency of human resources in the data field, increase the efficiency of the MPDA’s performance, and improve the experience of citizens and residents in the Emirate. The Program’s key components include collecting data, analyzing it, storing it securely, and using it to make decisions and deliver digital government services. The Program also aims to support modern technologies and artificial intelligence, and provide services that are compatible with the requirements and strategic and future directions of the Emirate.

 

Ajman DED Honors MPDA

His Excellency Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director General of the Ajman’s Department of Economic Development (DED), honored the MPDA, where Mr. Yousef Al Shaiba Al Nuaimi received the Shield of Appreciation, in recognition of the joint cooperation and in appreciation of the integrated efforts made to ensure the quality of life and happiness of society.

 

Sitemap Automatic Renewal Service

Engineer Khalifa Abdullah Al Falasi, Acting Executive Director of the MPDA’s Infrastructure Development Sector, launched the Automatic Siteplan Renewal Service, which enables the customer to obtain a copy of the siteplan renewal automatically, explaining that the Service aimed to streamline the procedures and facilitate the steps for customers, including owners and consultants, as they can complete the request by logging in to the MPDA’s smart application or website via digital ID account to approve the request.

Renewing the siteplan is now easier thanks to interconnected procedures, services designed based on customers’ needs and expectations, and completing the renewal automatically to enable the customer to obtain a copy of the siteplan renewal automatically anywhere and at any time, Al Falasi noted.

 

Ajman’s Sustainable Spatial Map

Engineer Khalifa Abdullah Al Falasi launched Ajman’s Sustainable Spatial Map with the aim to link the MPDA’s projects to the sustainable development goals, highlight the global focus on Ajman as a sustainable city, and introduce the local and international community to the MPDA’s contributions in achieving the sustainable development goals. The platform seeks to introduce the MPDA’s realistic projects that squarely contribute to achieving the sustainable development goals through an interactive map platform showing the sustainable development goal and the projects related to the goal, and the geographical location of the project on the interactive map, in line with the MPDA’s keenness to advance Ajman to be a sustainable emirate through the completion of projects which contribute to achieving the sustainable development goals set by the United Nations, Al Falasi noted.

 

Ajman 15-Minutes City System

The MPDA reviewed the Ajman 15-Minute City System, aimed to support decision makers in making the most of available data to develop and create infrastructure according to needs that ensure quality of life, and calculate the percentage of access and distribution of the five main services according to each region in the Emirate.

 

In this vein, Engineer Al Falasi said that the Ajman 15-Minute City System provides several options for accessing basic services; care, living, education, entertainment and catering, using various means such as walking and private cars in addition to public transportation or bicycles. The System aims to implement the urban plan for the Emirate to enhance the quality of life, in line with sustainable development goals to make cities inclusive, safe, and capable of continuity and prosperity for all, Al Falas added.

 

It is worth mentioned that the MPDA’s pavilion saw a large turnout of visitors who came to learn about the latest electronic services and smart applications.
