eco-friendly hybrid vehicles

In the implementation of the vision and environmental aspirations of the leadership and its keenness on providing pleasant, safe and stable environment to the tourists and visitors of public facilities in the emirate of Ajman, the Agriculture and Public Parks Administration of the Municipality and Planning Department launched the initiative to protect and control public facilities in the emirate to provide eco-friendly hybrid vehicles to guide, control and educate the visitors of tourist sites and public facilities in the emirate.

Ahmed Saif Al Muhairi, Director of Agriculture and Public Parks Administration, said that this initiative came in implementation of the agricultural strategic objective adopted by the Happiness and Positivity Council of the Department to provide clean renewable energy in public facilities to achieve sustainable development, stressing that the initiative comes under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman and a follow up by His Excellency Abdulrahman Mohamed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, as the Agriculture and Public Parks Administration of the Public Health and Environment provided eco-friendly hybrid vehicles powered by electricity and alternative renewable energy to control the public facilities and provide the requirements and needs of tourists and visitors as well as guiding the beach and marina visitors, Al Safeya area and public facilities around the clock and to be appointed on a daily basis to vital areas set out by the traffic of visitors throughout the week.

Al Muhairi stressed that the provision of these eco-friendly and hybrid vehicles comes under the directives of the leadership to shift towards the green economy as well as implementing the strategic vision of the Ajman Government 2021 and its directives to control the facilities, to protect the environment and to reduce carbon emissions from the vehicles powered by petroleum derivatives to achieve sustainability in these facilities, in addition to protect the properties and follow up the developments in those locations during the visits of the tourists of different nationalities.

Al Muhairi added that all vehicles were experimented and a staff of local drivers was trained to drive according to a daily shift program to follow up the locations around the clock and to achieve the objectives of their provision to bring happiness to the public and to provide the welfare across the emirate and its public facilities.
