Al Salam Street

His Excellency Abdulrahman Mohamed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Municipality and Planning Department of Ajman, inspected the roadwork in Al Salam Street, urging the completion of the project by the first quarter of the upcoming year 2018. This came during a field visit by His Excellency, accompanied by Dr. Eng. Mohamed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of Infrastructure Development Sector, Eng. Abdullah Mohamed Al Marzouki, Director of Roads and Infrastructure Administration of the Department and a number of officials of the Department.

His Excellency stressed that the Department, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department, is keen on completing vital projects, which serve all segments of the local society in the emirate as well as its visitors to facilitate the flowing of vehicles and prevent traffic congestion in the area, in addition to providing sewage systems to avoid potential accidents and to spare the population from the resulting damage.

His Excellency said that the Al Salam Street is one of the most vital streets in the emirate with a heavy traffic round the clock, which requires accelerating the completion of the project to avoid traffic congestion and provide the population with easy access to their houses.

For his part, Dr. Eng. bin Omair provided a detailed presentation to His Excellency on the work phases and the objectives of the project, pointing out that the qualified cadres and workers were able to complete a 40% of the project, as work is well underway to complete the vital project with a cost of AED 35 million and aims to facilitate the traffic on the street and provide a full lighting system.

Dr. Eng. bin Omair added that the workers completed the pavement work in the right side of the project and completed a 65% percent of storm sewers and an 80% of service protection work. The work is currently well underway to complete roadwork and storm sewers work in the left side of the project.
