DG briefed on the readiness of abattoir

Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Municipality briefed on the readiness of the central slaughterhouse to receive sacrificial Eid al-Adha

His Excellency Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman briefed on the readiness of the central slaughterhouse to receive sacrifices of Eid al-Adha and ensure compliance with all health and safety adopted standards, this happens during a field tour of His Highness to inspect the progress of work at the abattoir was accompanied by Khalid Moain Hosani Executive Director of the public health sector and environment in the department and a delegation of veterinary doctors, observers and inspectors and workers in the sector.

He was pleased that the department is seeking every year to raise the production efficiency of the Abattoir and equiping it with all modern equipment and mechanisms that contribute significantly to accelerate the pace of work around the clock and keep off congestion situation of the Eid al-Adha days and avoid citizens and residents the case of the long wait for the processing of their sacrifices, noting that trained manpower working in the abattoir suited to deal with all situations and able to work hard on peak time.

His Excellency explained that the abattoir will be open to the public and charitable organizations throughout the holiday of Eid al-Adha on two shifts to accommodate the sacrifices animals and provide all requirements to facilitate the work as there will be available in brocade elite group of coaches whom will be overseen by certified observers besides the presence of veterinarians to examine sacrifice before and after slaughter and ensure its safety to preserve the health of the consumer.

His Highness called community members to comply with the slaughter of sacrifices animals in the central slaughterhouse to avoid health damage that is caused by the fact that nongovernmental places is not monitored and jeopardize consumer to various health damages as some diseases do not show clear on the sacrifice and all the sacrifices need a qualified specialist reveals suitability for consumption also slaughter process requires sterilized tools may not be provided in nongovernmental slaughterhouses in addition to endanger the environment to hazards caused by the lack of proper disposal of waste resulting from the slaughter, noting that the joint work with the management of slaughterhouses will be tirelessly to monitor the slaughter outside the slaughterhouse, which is breach to the system of management of slaughterhouses.

Eng. Hosni explains in details to His Excellency the Director General of the Department the procedures used in the abattoir that fit with the global standards and the international specifications of  quality and safety, as workers receive sacrifices animals to undergo comprehensive strict examination and precise check by veterinarians to ensure their safety and they are free of disease and determine their suitability for human consumption and they exclude the improper ones and give the sacrifice digital tag for the owner and introduced to the barns by type in preparation for slaughter in the designated hall for the process to be place seals of validity and delivered to the client with bags friendly to the environment, pointing out that the public Health and environment Department will intensify its inspection campaigns every day of Eid al-Adha on slaughterhouses and shops selling meat to insure its safety and validity for human consumption.

Hosni said that the maintenance department is working ahead of Eid al-Adha to conduct a series of intense and accurate comprehensive examination of the equipment and machinery in the abattoir, the operating and maintenance of the water and electricity network, and supervising of all devices as well as preventive and periodic maintenance acts organized throughout the year. He explained that the brocade is provided with two production lines; one for cattle processing and the other for the processing of sheep and goats as well as the availability of specialized equipment and machinery for cutting and splitting and processing of sacrifice and appropriate cold rooms.

And the Executive Director of Public Health and Environment explained that the central abattoir follows the environmental protection system in all aspects of its work, where the output of the bleeding blood after slaughter is separated from the sewerage network operations and is collected inside the ground tank to be pumped into a special tank located outside the abattoir. In addition to the sound used methods to get rid of unfit for consumption meat. This disposal process is oversees by veterinaries.
