The Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman organizes, in cooperation with the Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center, a volunteer campaign for blood donation
The Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman organized, in cooperation with the Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center, from the keenness of the Department to adopt the principles of the social responsibilities and maintaining the health and safety of individuals and to save the lives of those in desperate need for care and humanitarian aid.
Ibrahim Samra Al-Shehi, Acting Director of Communication and Corporate Marketing Administration, said that the volunteer campaigns carried out by the Department, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department, and the follow up by His Excellency Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department, for their keenness on spreading the culture of devotion and giving, in addition to adopting it into our lifestyle and to implement the ideas of volunteer charity work, which targets all members of the society.
Al Shehi said that the campaign witnessed a significant turnout and remarkable participation of the employees and workers of the Department, which reflects their positive spirits and proves their keenness on helping and providing a helping hand with the minimum resources to save the lives of patients and those in need. Pointing out that the donators underwent medical tests before donating blood, including examining blood pressure to ensure their ability to donate and meeting all requirements of a safe blood drawing process.
Al Shehi added that the objectives of the campaign are consistent with the Department’s strategy, which seeks to spread happiness among all members of the society and to bring joy to the hearts of patients and make them feel the embracement, support and the moral encouragement provided by the society to continue their healing process, and to stand by them in the difficult times of their lives. Pointing out that a drop of blood may change the life of an individual and saves them from death, and that no one should underestimate the importance of donation and cooperation with blood centers and the importance of prompt response and interacting with the blood donation campaigns organized by the Department, in cooperation with the competent bodies throughout the year.
For his part, the medical work team of the Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center praised the Department’s well organization of the blood donation campaign, as the trained human resources, who are capable to deal effectively with all donators, has supervised the campaign, which contributed to the remarkable success of the campaign, expressing their thanks to the supervisors and the organizers of this periodic campaign.
